AIDS TO RAHANA’S FAMILY
Information from a concerned citizen through Facebook had given Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC) the opportunity to provide assistance to the family of Puan Rahana who takes care of her four (4) disabled children while at the same time tries hard to make a living. KPC’s contributed basic items and this brought cheer to the family as it helped eased some of their burden.
OLD FOLKS HOMES
Visits to the old folk homes each year is an obligatory program for Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC). Food, basic necessities and mobility equipment were distributed during the visit to 13 old folk homes. Among the centres or homes visited in 2015 were Kuantan Nursing Care Home, Melodies Nursing Home and Pusat Jagaan Orang Tua Indah and others. The objective of this program was to show our presence and that we and others care for them.
SCHOOL SHOES
Needy students around Kuantan have never been forgotten by Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC). To ease the burden of some of the needy, KPC had recently made an effort to distribute school shoes to more than 1,000 under privileged students from various school all over Kuantan. The ten (10) schools that received the assistance were SK Pahang Tua, SK Peramu Jaya, SK Tanjung Medang, SK Pasir Panjang, SK Sri Maulana, SMK Chini 2, SMK Paloh Hinai, SMK Peramu Jaya, SM Sains Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah and SMK (LKTP) Chini.
SPASTIC CENTRE
In early 2016 representatives from Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd visited 11 spastic centres and 2 homes with spastic children. The presence of a hired clown brought lots of joy to the children and adults at the centres. Mohd Ali who have been taking care of his 3 spastic children aged between 30 to 48 years old was among the houses visited by Kuantan Port Consortium.
SCHOOL LIBRARY BOOK
To inculcate reading habit right from tender age, Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC) has sponsored books to schools around Kuantan. SMK Sungai Lembing, SMK Semambu, SMK Bukit Goh, SK Paya Bungor, SK Sungai Soi and SK Permatang Badak are amond the selected schools who received sponsored books from Kuantan Port. The given books were to be placed in schools library is expected to be used by students to help them in their NILAM program and for them to gain extra general knowledge.
